Through these partnerships, the Safe Computing Practices Committee participates in events and provides educational presentations to help promote safe computing practices to Lubbock and surrounding communities. Safe computing tips, security information, and community IT security contacts are available on this web site.
As a component of the Safe Computing Practices Campaign, we established the Lubbock ITAlert list, a mailing subscription service. The TTU Office of the CIO sends periodic information concerning urgent security issues and threat notifications to members on this list. To date, over 2,084 citizens have subscribed to our service.
